BIM has been developed to standardise the information required to design, build and maintain projects. As opposed to the traditional O&M manuals a contractor or sub-contractor is required to provide, BIM models present a far more efficient way of finding the information an architect, designer or maintenance company may need for each component of a project.

Conveying the complexity of performance doorsets is a particular challenge when setting up BIM models. Many door manufacturers have tried and failed in this process. Our BIM models have been configured to adjust as many features and performance considerations as possible.

Our parametric models adjust to the user’s definitions, whilst providing safeguards in place to alert the user to any errors, such as a fire door being too wide to meet fire safety requirements.

This makes the process much more time efficient whilst providing all the relevant information required.
