Overview:

On the banks of Liverpool's world heritage waterfront, the Exhibition Centre Liverpool is Europe’s only purpose built interconnected arena, convention and exhibition centre.

C W Fields & Son were awarded the contract for the manufacture and supply of over 150 bespoke performance doorsets.

The Solution

Throughout the building our supply included 86 single and 66 double doorsets designed to achieve various levels of performance requirements.

Due to high levels of footfall a robust solution was proposed, which involved doors faced with a high impact resistant acrovyn and postformed acrovyn edge guards. This was neatly contrasted with a different colour DDA intumescent strip as specified by the architect.

Our assigned Project Manager for this job, was heavily involved with scheduling of production information and sign off of RFI’s. It was through his knowledge of compliance with global assessments, we we’re able to advise the best technical solutions to achieve fire resistance of up to FD60 for some doorset assemblies.

Acoustic doorsets were also required, hence acoustic dropseals were machined and factory fitted ready for onsite installation.
